Founded in 1970, The Bridge for Youth is the largest youth-only shelter in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, offering comprehensive services to increase the safety, well-being and self-sufficiency of at-risk, runaway and homeless youth, ages 10-17.  The Bridge for Youth’s mission is to provide runaway and homeless youth with safe shelter, assist in the prevention and resolution of family conflicts, and reunify families whenever possible.

The Bridge’s vision is to be the premier resource for diverse populations of youth and families needing help by offering: 1) Support that empowers; 2) Safe shelter; 3) Sustainable tools for success and restoration of relationships; and 4) Family reunification, when possible.

Hyatt Regency Minneapolis has been an ally and supporter of The Bridge for Youth for the last five years, beginning in 2012.  Hyatt’s initial involvement was providing in-kind hotel accommodations for The Bridge’s fundraising event auctions. This support and involvement has continued and expanded.

The Hyatt Community Grant will support general operating costs for the many services they provide youth like emergency shelter, stable housing, after-school support, etc.
