Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui and Heep Hong Society

Established in 1963, Heep Hong Society is a leading child education and rehabilitation organization committed to helping children and youth of different abilities achieve full potential by professional assessment, guidance and training, as well as providing family support, thereby contributing to an inclusive society.

A strong team of 900 professionals including psychologists, therapists, teachers, nurses and social workers serve more than 10,000 families every year at over 40 service units, as well as mainstream kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.  As an innovative service provider, Heep Hong Society dedicates itself to researching evidence-based treatment approaches and promoting the development of an integrated education and rehabilitation sector in the Greater China region through publishing, research and training.

Cheung Sha Wan Centre is a Special Child Care Centre which provides professional intensive care and training five days a week, helping special needs children aged 2-6 to maximize their potential and to lay a solid foundation for their further learning and development.  It provides a wide range of services for the holistic development of the children, including developmental assessment and individualized educational programs, centre-based individual and group training, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy, daily child-care services and psychological services.

The team at Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui has partnered with Cheung Sha Wan Centre since 2011 by actively offering voluntary services at the centre.  Every year, apart from colleague volunteerism, they host a Christmas or birthday party for the centre's children and make different kinds of donations.

The Hyatt Community Grant will be used for installing a motion-activated projector at Cheung Sha Wan Centre, which will facilitate the multi-sensory stimulation of children with special needs. These children will undergo training from therapists and special child care teachers after the facility is installed.
