Congregations for the Homeless & Hyatt Regency Bellevue
Congregations for the Homeless is the only full service organization on King County Washington’s Eastside serving men experiencing homelessness. We operate an outreach program, Day Center, Emergency Shelter in the winter, a Year Round shelter, and housing. All of these programs work together to move men towards their ultimate goal of ending homelessness on the Eastside by helping them make the transition from life on the street to stable, independent living. CFH works closely with all the men who come through our programs to create relationships that foster trust thus enabling us to serve them best.
Hyatt Regency Bellevue has partnered with Congregations for the Homeless for the past 2 years, providing dinner twice a month for 30 – 40 men. The team also conducted a gift card drive during the 2015 holiday season which proved to be a true blessing for the men in our shelter.
The Hyatt Community grant will facilitate the provision of life-saving services to men struggling with the challenge of homelessness on Seattle’s Eastside. In addition to hot meals, showers, and shelter, the following critical services will also be provided: case management, addiction treatment support, mental health treatment, medical and dental services, employment support and access to social security and disability services.
