Developing Indigenous Resources & Hyatt Regency Chandigarh

Developing Indigenous Resources (DIR) has a mission to provide opportunities for residents of low-income communities to build the skills and knowledge they need to transform their own lives. The organization strongly believes that lasting societal social change can only come about when people affected by issues are deeply involved in implementing the solutions to these issues. DIR provides programs across various issues, including health, education, and income generation.

The team at Hyatt Regency Chandigarh has partnered with Developing Indigenous Resources for the past two years, visiting DIR's project in Janta Colony to provide cooking advice to the local women, providing a Hyatt quality lunch, and festive gifts for slum children, hosting fun activities for these children and promoting the building of positive relationships with adults in a safe environment.
