Community Action Partnership of Orange County and Hyatt Regency Orange County

Community Action Partnership of Orange County (CAPOC) offers multiple programs to help struggling families, individuals and seniors with emergency food and services. With support from Hyatt Regency Orange County, CAPOC will be able to provide fresh produce to 2,250 families.  Through their Farm 2 Families program, the CAPOC’S Orange County Food Bank is able to provide fresh nutritious produce to more than 88,000 men, women, and children in Orange County on a monthly basis through distribution of 3 – 5 pound bags of fruit and vegetables.

Colleagues from Hyatt Regency Orange County will award a grant to Community Action Partnership of Orange County to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to inner city children and families. For the past four years, the Hyatt Orange County team regularly volunteers and packs food boxes at CAPOC’s OC Food Bank, and has donated over 100 new backpacks and book bags to the agency’s Backpacks For Success Program.  With one in five children in Orange County experiencing food insecurity and one in three at risk of diabetes, CAPOC is grateful that Hyatt Regency Orange County has helped play a major role in improving the health of low-income families in Orange County.
